Water Gardens

A very popular landscape feature for old and young alike is the water garden. There are water gardens to suite all tastes, from geometric formal pools to irregular informal ponds. There is nothing quite as soothing as the sound of running water after a stressful day. A variety of wildlife can be attracted through careful and balanced plant selection.

If you prefer the sound of running water and do not have the room for a full-scale pool, consider installing a water feature such as a wall-mounted fountain, a bubble fountain or a water spout, all of which are safe for small children.

Many plants are suitable for water gardens, including water lilies and other deep-water aquatics, bog plants, marginals, oxygenators and surface floaters.
